Excellence in Social Interaction Award
The Excellence in Social Interaction Award is open to any businesses or organizations, which have demonstrated excellence in groundbreaking, thought provoking, and poignant social media campaigns in the challenging landscape of 2020.
The honor is open to any business or organization operating in the US or UK, with the award being presented at our virtual award ceremony this April. Businesses and organizations can nominate themselves or can nominate others for their outstanding campaigns in 2020.
All entry fees have been waived, because of the impact of COVID on the media landscape.
Participants will need to complete the following instructions below for a valid entry.
All entries and supporting materials must be submitted online to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Entrants are encouraged to submit a short video, no longer than 25 seconds, outlining why their nominee, a business or organization, has delivered a groundbreaking, thought provoking, and poignant social media campaign in the challenging landscape of 2020 – Jan 1 to December 31.
Entrants should direct message their videos to the SMSA Instagram account. The messaging or campaign must have occurred in 2020.
A video entry is not essential for award entrants, but for those entrants, who make the shortlist for the award it allows SMSA the option to use that content on social platforms.
All entries must write a short summary description about their campaign, if they wish to be considered.
The summary must be no longer than 100 words, sent in as a word document or PDF, typed with a 12-point typeface and one-inch margins.
Supporting material may include up to five documents that support your summary (social media posts, links, etc.).

Business and organizations may enter more than one campaign, so long as it is significantly different and separate from their entry.
Entrants can individually enter more than one organization or business campaigns for this award. But please do not submit entries multiple times nominating the same campaign, they may be ignored.
Judges will review all entries, before creating a shortlist. Periodically, outstanding entrant nominations will appear on the SMSA social media platforms.
The shortlist for The Excellence in Social Interaction Award will be announced in April.
This category will be featured in the Social Media Superstar Awards virtual ceremony, when the winner will be announced.
